1. I Saw the Devil
Starring Lee Byung-hun and Choi Min-sik in the lead roles. This movie is directed by Kim Jee-woon and screenplay by Park Hoon-jung. And a beautiful score by Mowg. The film follows NIS agent Kim Soo-hyun(Lee), who embarks on a quest of revenge when his fiancee is brutally murdered by the psychopathic serial killer Jang Kyung-chul(Choi). Director Kim Jee-woon has also directed other films such as A tale of two sisters and The good, the bad, the weird.
2. Old-Boy
Starring Choi Min-sik, Yoo Ji-tae and Kang Hye-jung in the lead roles. Directed and co-written by Park Chan-wook, this movie based out of Japanese manga of the same name. The film follows the story of Oh Dae-su (Choi Min-sik), who is imprisoned in a cell which resembles a hotel room for 15 years without knowing the identity of his captor nor his captor's motives. When he is finally released, Dae-su finds himself still trapped in a web of conspiracy and violence. His own quest for vengeance becomes tied in with romance when he falls in love with an attractive young sushi chef, Mi-do (Kang Hye-jung).
3. A Bittersweet life
Again Lee Byung-Hun starrer, this time along with Shin Min-a. This is a 2005 South Korean neo-noir action drama film written and directed by Kim Jee-woon. It stars Lee Byung-hun as Sun-woo, a hitman who becomes targeted by his boss after he spares the latter's cheating mistress played by Shin Min-a as Hee-soo. This film is the first collaboration between director Kim Jee-woon and actor Lee Byung-hun from which they went on to make more films.
4. Lady Vengeance
Lady Vengeance is a 2005 South Korean psychological thriller film directed by Park Chan-wook. The film is the third and final installment in Park's Vengeance Trilogy, following Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance(2002) and Oldboy(2003). It stars Lee Young-ae as Lee Geum-ja, a woman released from prison after serving the sentence for a murder she did not commit. The film tells her story of revenge against the real murderer.
